I learnt everything “by accident”… as I knew absolutely nothing about head/brain injury for about 30 years afterwards (not even that I had one though I’d been in a coma for some weeks, I think). So just learned strategies to cope and to get by, as ‘blissfully unaware; I “muddled along”… subconsciously, because that’s all I knew how. Since the trauma of ‘diagnosis’ and our entire world falling apart, I’ve learnt everything I know about this fascinating subject in the past 25 years here in “Sleepy Hollow” , where I have the time and peace of mind to research, study and think… as well as trying to make some sense of my ‘little’ life, the journey (+ putting the pieces of the puzzle together) here “Dropped out in Godzone”.
