There I was at the board-room table on one of the top floors of the head office in Melbourne of one of the biggest financial institutions of Australia. The top management of the company had been discussing their investment strategies involving billions of Australian dollars. They went around the table, asking for my input. Horrors – my turn with heart beating furiously – “red-lining” Not knowing what to say (anything – because I had no idea what they had been talking about for the past few hours – so “out of my depth” at the very bottom of the Pacific), papers strewn all around me, all I could say was the first thing that popped into my ‘little noggin’ (head)… and solve my immediate priority/problem!
